What Does Grey Urine Indicates?

My husband has Providencia Rettgeri in the urinary tract. Today he was given an injection of 106 mg Gentamycin. He is a urostimate (sic). How difficult is it to get rid of the infection? Also, initially his urine was very gray - what would couse this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The Grey or white colour urine could be due to pus cells in urine.

He is having urinary tract infection and so the presence of pus cells can be possible in urine and giving white colour.

He can be prescribed a full course of antibiotic course as per culture report.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
