What Does Heterogeneous Myometrium In Uterus Mean?

What is HETEROGENEOUS MYOMETRIUM? It s been 3 months I missed my period, having a pain by lower right side abdomen for a month now. Then I went to the doctor and the doctor did an ultrasound and found out the HETEROGENEOUS MYOMETRIUM on my uterus. How that can affect me in treatment and how that can affect me in future to get pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

A homogenous myometrium means a slightly different or varied myometrium which will have to be further investigated. The cause for the change has not been noted, but at times this can be insignificant. I am unawarw of your detailed history, but you will require medication to help with having a withdrawal bleed and from there on correction. If your ovariew were normal, then a hormonal approqch should be considered.

Best wishes.
