What Does Indicate Hot Flashes And Missing Period Cycles?
Hello, I have not had my period since Nov 16th and since Nov 30th, I ve been having hot flashes. I remember feeling sick after Thanksgiving day but didn t think much about it, then the hot flashes started. I took two pregnancy test in the past 3 days and they both showed negative. Please Help! Could I still be pregnant, is this pre-menopause? I just turned 34 on Dec 29, I weight about 140 lbs and is 5 3 . Thank you in advance for your help.
Non menopausal hot flashes can occur due to hypothyroidism.Kindly check your TSH,Free T3 and T4 levels.
Premature menopause should also be ruled out.If ovarian function is normal,the following non medical measures can be followed.
Adequate hydration,wearing cotton or lightweight, breathable fabrics, exercise on a regular basis, practicing meditation or relaxation exercises to manage stress is essential.
Avoid triggers like spicy foods, alcohol and caffeinated drinks.
