What Does Irregular Period And Continuous Brown Discharge Denote?

I am a 47 year old woman of indian rigin. I have been having some irregular periods. My periods have become longer and heavier n the second and thurd day but lighter on other days. Where as earlier I used to end in 6days nowit continues for 8/9 days -- when I get very little but brown discharge. This time I had a lighter period, but the brown discharge is still continuing -- getting less everyday but it is still there. I also feel very fatigued and feverish in the afternoon.
