Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
This report is suggesting that your thumb joint is showing severe arthritis and its cartilage is completely worn so movements are not possible and whatever movement will be there , it will be associated with pain
This can be primary without any injury or secondary to trauma. My suggestion is that you can try a steroid injection. It will provide temporary pain relief. If pain is severe then I would recommend surgery.
