What Does Low Lying Gestational Sac During Pregnancy Mean?

Hello. I am 6/7 weeks pregnant. I have had a few days of spotting brown blood. And some mild cramping. I went to the er and they didnt seem to concerned after testing. Although in my discharge papers it says I have a low lying gestational sac. They never told me nor did they explain. What does this mean? Since I was at the er I have not bled anymore but I still have slight cramping from time to time.

hi thanks for writing to us
normally the implantaion takes place in the fundus of the uterus
follow this link it shows you the picture of normal impaltation of fetus at fundus of uterus

if implantation occurs in places other than fundus it is called low lying implantation probably near the cervix
the following link gives a picture of implantation other than fundus
