Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Thank you. My daughter had a septic threat according to ENT. He sent her to infectious disease doctor who gave IV and stopped fever. Trying to keep her well because of college exams. Tonsillitis, etc scheduled for next week. Required her to go back for testing in case she needs IV meds before surgery. Preliminary shows moderate respiratory flora - is that normal or signs of infection? Thank you.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Normal microbial flora are the part of respiratory tract which form moderate respiratory flora. This is completely normal and there is no infection. She will be well very soon.
Please let me know if this was helpful and do ask if there are any other related questions.
Regards, Dr. Akash Kumar
