What Does My MRI Of The Spine Indicate?

My MRI of the spine shows Heterogenenous marrow signal in all imaged portions of the skeleton including the upper pelvis.MRI done for symptoms of severe pain in groin, left labia, rectum with burning and severe tightness . Symptoms on and off for 10 yrs. Never this bad and responds to no treatments such as Epidural, opioids.Out of work, can t sleep etc. Now trying acupuncture .MRI also shows L4_L4 herniation producing mainly right-sided axillary recess and foramina encroachment. What should I do now? Also had a surgery 6 yrs ago to remove scar tissue from hysterectomy 20 yrs ago. MD felt groin pain due to scar tissue around pudendal nerve? Unsuccessful. What now. Carole

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.
As there is neurological weakness you will need immediate decompression.

MRI shows disc compressing on nerve root then surgical decompression is permanent solution. You can send your MRI films or report. So that I can help you better.

If you cant afford disc spacer/replacement then you can just go for laminectomy and decompression.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Take care.
