Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello my age is 39 total volume is 2.5. total sperm count - 22.4, actively motile - 45 sluggish motile - 15, not motle - 40, normal forms - 65, pus cells 2-3 RBC - not present, Epithelial cells - not present, fructose - positive. kindly advise, as I planning for another kid
I have gone through your question and I will try my best to give you a satisfactory answer. Your semen analysis report has total sperm count and active motile sperms on the lower limit but this does not mean that you can't conceive naturally. It may take longer than normal to conceive but it is possible as it depends on the all the aspects of the semen report combined together.
As the sperms take around 3 months approximately to develop i would suggest to maintain a healthy life style to increase the quality and quantity of the sperms by changes in routine such as: maintain a healthy weight, limiting consumption of alcohol and cigarettes, consuming diet consisting of eggs; cheeses and fish along with vegetables more particularly tomatoes, lettuce , carrots, spinach etc.
I would advise you to repeat the test after 3-6 months. In case if you are unable to conceive after more than 1 year of unprotected sex please consult your local physician for further course of treatment.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
