What Does My Sperm Motility In The Below Sperm Analysis Report Suggest?
hello doctor iam 26 year s old .iam single please answer me apperaence ......milky/homogen liquifaction ........viscosity..........normal volume..........5 ml ph...........8 sperm concentration.............167 million rapid progressive...............11.7% slow progressive...............36.3% non progressive................10.5% immotile.............................42% head defects....................46% neck or midpiece defects......2% tail defects..............7% excess residual cytoplasm...........2% wbc/hpf............0-1 rbc/hpf............none immature germ cell/hpf 6-8

According to your semen analysis result you have semen volume of 5 ml & sperm concentration was 167 million per ml, both of which is normal. As per motility of sperms, 11.7% of sperms were rapidly progressive motile, 36.3 % were slow progressive motile & 10.5% of sperms were non progressive motile. Therefore total mobility was 58% & number of immotile sperms were 42%.
According to shape there was increased number of sperms with abnormal shape with head defect in 46%, midpiece defect in 2%, excess cytoplasm in 2% & tail defect in 7%. Presence of occasional white blood cells under high power field was not significant.
So all togethar your sperm analysis is normal with good sperm count & average motility. However number of sperms with abnormal shape was slightly higher than normal.
