What Does My Thyroglobin Antibody Test Result Indicate?
My doctor suspects that a thyroid nodule that I have may be cancerous. He got the results of my thyroglobin antibody test, but I do not understand them. It says the normal range is between 0.0-0.9 IU/mL. My level is 1.0. He is my endocrinologist and they are having a hard time determining what is going on with me. I am just worried about these results, and if they are normal.
The general workup for a thyroid nodule includes Thyroid function tests Ultrasound scan With or without a thyroid scan Depending on the information a FNAC/biopsy is performed.
Also, I would like to know if you had an thyroid surgery earlier? Any medications?
Anti thyroglobulin antibody test is usually performed in conjunction with thyrogloibulin test.
