What Does Myometrial Fibroids In Uterus Indicate?

Hi I had a CT scan this week which shows a growth 23cm x 15 x18 and its solid. The report states I have myometrial fibroids in my uterus. I had a hysterectomy years ago but my cervix wasn t removed. I am confused about the fibroid statement. Can you shed any light in this?

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer some suggestions. Since the cervix was retained during the surgery, it is possible for tumors to arise from the cervix, be it a fibroid or something else. The consistency of the tumor requires further evaluation and if possible, a biopsy. Please see an expert for this purpose and plan further management. Hope this helps.
