Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
There can be two causes of such pain. First it can be due to nerve compression in the spine, it can causes rediculopathy type pain in the back of the hip.
Other cause can be coccydynia or pain at tail bone due to inflammation.
I would recommend you to go to a orthopaedic surgeon and get his opinion. He might advice you to get a spine x ray to confirm the diagnosis.
Till you get his opinion I would recommend you to stat back muscle physiotherapy, intermittent traction exercises and muscle relaxant like Myoril or Myospaz. I would also like to suggest Pregabalin and Methylcobal for nerve related pain.
