What Does On And Off Throbbing Pain In Buttocks Suggest?
Hi the other night at one in the morning got woke up with pain ,felt like a throbbing pain in my bum then had a bath and it felt better .but next day felt the pain it comes and goes .if I walk around don t notice as much ,but if I sit feel the pain ?
There can be two causes of such pain. First it can be due to nerve compression in the spine, it can causes rediculopathy type pain in the back of the hip. Other cause can be coccydynia or pain at tail bone due to inflammation. I would recommend you to go to a orthopaedic surgeon and get his opinion. He might advice you to get a spine x ray to confirm the diagnosis. Till you get his opinion I would recommend you to stat back muscle physiotherapy, intermittent traction exercises and muscle relaxant like Myoril or Myospaz. I would also like to suggest Pregabalin and Methylcobal for nerve related pain.
