Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a cancer survivor. I had a pituitary/hypothalamic tumor. I recently, about 6 months ago had a hysterectomy and diagnosed with sleep apnea. For the past three years, I have cycles of symptoms that cluster and have gotten progressively worse. They begin with migraine/tension headaches. Then I get dermatitis on my face, hairline, and ears. My constant muscle pain and stiffness exponentially gets worse. I feel like I ve been in a car wreck and hurt from head to feet. Recently, I have a new symptom to the cycle and that s is severe pain on the outside edge of my foot near my heel. There are little inflamed areas there. It makes it very painful to walk and the pain gets worse as the day goes on. My constant fatigue gets worse and I don t sleep well. I average about 3-5 hours of actual sleep, even though I ve been to bed 7-8 hours. My doctors have not been able to diagnose. I need help.

What Does Pain Around The Heels Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. As per my clinical experience, the most common cause of the narrated heel problem is either plantar calcaneal spur or fasciitis. I recommend to get an X-ray of the foot and if done with normal conclusion, should discuss the need of an MRI with your doctor. Thanks Dr Purva
