What Does Pain At Right Rib Cage Bottom Mid Rib Cage Where The Stomach Starts Signify While On Percin,alkasol And Neeri?

Hello Doctor I have pain at the bootom of right rib cage and in the middle of the rib cage where the stomach starts. I have been facing this for more than a year now.. I took Percin , Alkasol and Neeri as prescribed by doc and since then I have this Pain. Please lte me know if this is normal. I am worried. I have been taking Normaxin , colospa and Pentocid L . But how long do i continue these medicines. I hope its no any thing serious?

Thank you for the query.

Upper right abdominal pain and middle abdominal pain is usually caused by gallstones or peptic ulcer. Gallstones pain radiates to the back, appears after a meal, nausea and vomiting can be present.
Stomach pain can be in the very same location but does not radiate to the back. It appears about an hour after a meal.

I suggest you to have abdominal ultrasound, blood work, pancreas and liver tests. If nothing will be found, gastroscopy should be next.
In a meanwhile please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, alcohol, coffee, chocolate.
