General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

According to your description, I predict you have Cervical spondylitis. This type of pain requires Gabapentin drug daily not Prednisolone.

However, do confirm your condition with orthopedic doctor before starting medication. Other option for pain relief is application of hot compressions.

Other advice:
- Avoid using hard pillow
- Use cervical collar while working as well as travelling

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
