What Does Pain In Chest After Injury Indicate?

we were playing basketball in gym and this guy ran into my chest and then my friend was behind me so she pushed me forward and I couldn't breathe for some time and now my chest really hurts and yesterday, every time I laughed, it hurt really bad. what does this mean? is there something wrong me now??

i completely understand your question

in my patients if there is a chest injury and they are having similar complaints inwould go for a chest xray first to rule out any -

rib fracture
pneumothorax
muscular injury

if everything would be alright i would prescribe some analgesics / NSAIDS to relieve pain and some enzymes that would help in healing the injury
