What Does Pain In The Abdomen Indicate?

Im diabetic. For one year now. For a week now I ve been in hospital. What brought me in was my sugar level was at 1.9. Since then its been jumping around upto 29.6. I keep getting really bad migraines and getting nauseous. What do you think is wrong? My sugar level just wont stay level and I ve never had migraines before. And I keep getting this pain in my stomach which im pretty sure is my pancreas. Which I only know because I ve had pancreatitis before

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query about your husband and here are my thoughts.

Since you are a known patient of pancreatitis, diabetes is explained as well as the pain in abdomen may be due to the same.
Diabetes post-pancreatitis needs Insulin to settle the blood sugar levels for sure.
The migraine like headache and other symptoms may well be due to additional problems and must be looked after by appropriate investigations to get a proper cause and thus an appropriate management.
Headache gives nausea and vomiting as secondary symptoms and can be treated symptomatically with a PPI with Domperidone.
MRCP of pancreas, blood levels of Insulin, charting of blood and urine sugar can help to get a good control of blood sugar levels with proper spacing of insulin therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
