What Does Pain In The Buttocks And Knees Indicate?

I fell yesterday and am now having pain from the middle of my right butt cheek to my knee. The pain is shooting pain when I get up and painful when I bend over. It s not really in my back just down my leg. What do you think is wrong should I get an x Ray?

Hi.

I am glad we connected.

Common causes of pain in the buttock include
Muscle strain
Muscle injury
soft tissue injury
or with tight muscles

A fracture would be a less likely cause.

Many people find this useful for the muscle strain -
Rest
Ice the area for 15 mins
Compress and massage the area
Elevate the area and raise the hip to reduce swelling
Along with this, using light exercise may help as well.
Using a local painkiller cream may work as well
