i ve had upper chest pain for the last week; have no appetite and have not eaten for four days; haven t had any bowel movements in about the same time. am nauseous and vomit occasionally. have found that this pain can be relieved by my lying on my back with a pillow under mid-back: after doing this for a couple of hours, i can then walk around for a while. after sitting up or walking the pain re-emerges. what do you think? randy
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Possibility of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) related symptoms is more likely. GERD is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this, the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause nausea, vomiting, burning chest pain, decreased appetite etc. So follow these steps. 1. Take pantoprazole and levosulperide combination on empty stomach twice daily. 2. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits. 3. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food. 4. Go for walking after meals. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
