General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you that nitroglycerin is taken to relieve angina pain which occurs due to reduced supply of blood to the heart. It has to be taken sunlingually every time you feel constricting pain in the chest. If you have frequent episodes of pain you should consult your physician for review. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
I find this answer helpful
