General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I am glad we connected.

Some people may develop heart burn or chest pain with acidity. This is seen as an epigastric pain. The pain would usually be a burning type. Burping is also seen as the lower esophageal sphincter is not able to function well.

Many people find using over the counter antacids useful for burping.

Getting a doctor to check the acid reflux and the 24 hour pH levels would also be a good idea. I hope this helps.
