Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In the last two days my left arm, just above the elbow and down through most of the forearm has at times suddenly grown painful, almost as if I hit my funnybone, but without the tingling. It shows up mostly on the outside of the elbow. I am a heart patient, and had a stent put in this last june but the doctor has said that everything is fine. Lastly, I have had two heart attacks, but barely noticed either one of them (slight tightness in the chest)
As per your clinical history is concerned, please follow like this: 1 Do a clinical examination by your Doctor [orthopedic surgeon] to confirm it. 2) Discuss with your physiotherapist for the specific exercise plan. 3) Wear forearm strap or brace to reduce stress on the muscle.
Do follow lifestyle modifications like this: 1) Take rest and try to avoid activities that aggravate your pain. 2) Try over-the-counter pain relievers, such as Ibuprofen (Advil). 3) Apply ice or a cold pack for 15 minutes four times a day. 4) Use proper technique.
Make sure that you are using proper technique for your activities and avoiding repetitive wrist motions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
