What Does Pain In The Head After An Injury Indicate?

5 days ago fell and hit my head on concrete. Minor cut, swelling on brow ridge. Deeply bruised left hand, trying to break my fall. Major issue is sever muscle pain in the left scapula area that increases as the day goes on. Have done heat, not ice yet, but it is painful to move my left arm. Are the muscles just traumatized from the fall or could there be more to it. Saw my physician today, she didn t seemed concerned, but was not in a lot of pain at the time.

I understand your concern. Pain after trauma and that pain continues to be there. I would suggest to consult orthopedic surgeon and if necessary get xray done to rule out any fracture. There is another possibility of muscle injury which is very common after trauma. But that requires MRI. But treatment will remain same which is ice Application and rest as much as possible. Wish you speedy recovery.
