What Does Pain In The Hips On The Left Side Indicate?

My left hip hurts whenever I walk very far. I went to physical therapy for 20 sessions and they said it just needed stretched more. I am 66 years old. I am going to Disney World and am going to do a lot of walking. I have very flat feet. I don't know if I need a Podiatrist or what?

Thanks for contacting with your health concern and as I'm unable to examine you directly thus keeping in mind your age [66 years], I'm of the following opinion:

1. Consult an Orthopedic surgeon regarding hip discomfort/pain since it could be because of hip osteoarthritis, AVN [avascular necrosis], DVT [deep vein thrombosis], PVD [peripheral vascular disorder] or simply because of cramps in calf [due to diabetes, calcium/salt deficiency]

PS. The symptoms have to be carefully assessed by your doctor to ensure that whether it requires immediate medical attention or long-term therapy.
