Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A week ago while walking my knee began to hurt on the inside of my leg. Not swollen or bruised. IN addition I have pain that feels almost like a Charlie horse in the muscle above (quad) and in mt calf muscle. My knee hurts most when I walk up and down stairs when needing to bend it. It s not a sharp pain.
thanks for the question It would have been of great help if you could have told your age considering you have no sports injury and you have pain on using stairs mainly on medial side of leg In my opinion osteoarthritis if knee has to be looked for Osteoarthritis tend to cause medial side joint pain intially, which worsens with activities also worsens with stair climbing there are other possibilities also which need further clinical correlation I will advise you to report to orthopedician for clinical and radiologically assessment. In mean Time do quadriceps and hamistring strengthening exercise, pain killers s.o.s wish you luck
