What Does Pain In The Upper Abdomen On The Right Side Indicate?

my daughter is having upper abdominal pain. It switches between the left and right side, and seems to come on after eating regular sized meals. She still gets this pain after small meals just not as intense. She s away at college and the doctor on campus wasn t very patient with her. He perscribed Pantoprazole and now she s having dizzy spells and is very nauseous. Her blood work came back with no increase in white blood cell count. What other questions should I be asking her?

Hello,

Kindly get one endoscopy done and ultrasound abdomen.

If this in the investigation also comes normal, then we can think its somatic pain syndromes, but it is better to get those investigations and get back to us for treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
