What Does Pain Under Parieto-occipital Fissure Indicate?

I m experiencing localized pain underneath the parietofrontal fissure. It s located specifically in the middle region of the skull, continuing back towards the back of the skull. It s not alleviated with pressure, and it doesn t follow the skin when I pull it to the side. I went to the doctor for this just a day or two ago, and she told me - without actually running any true examination, mind you - that it was nothing physical. I also did not have enough money to pay the fee upon arrival, so I assume she s just brushing me off because I don t have any money to pay her. I wanted a legitimate examination, but I imagine my issues are very small and inconsequential to the likes of her. It s been there for several months and occasionally becomes unbearable. I often times have trouble sleeping, and I turn in my rest and occasionally spazz out completely. I ve had more than my share of petite mal seizures during my night hours, specifically upon waking. Do you have any idea what this is?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you are a know case of Petit-mal seizures the commonest cause of the centrally located pain in the head can be some SOL that is space occupying lesion in brain.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
you have to consult a Neurophysician for clinical evaluation and examination.
MRI of the brain and sinuses.
EEG of the brain and other tests as needed to get an exact cause so that a proper management can be done.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
