What Does Painful Bump Near Thumb Incase Of Hairline Crack Indicate?

I had a hairline crack on top of my hand, got a wrist cast, got it removed 5 weeks later, at removal a bump appeared on thumb base, now 2.5 months later bump has not went down like Dr. office said, before their was little to no pain at the bump, but the pain seems to be getting stronger. What do you think it is?

Hello,

It could be an inflammatory swelling.

As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief.

Generally it will settle in couple of days.

If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.
