What Does Pressure In The Chest Indicate?

my daughter has been having pressure in her chest for 4 weeks or so and she has had and EKG, chest xrays and blood work that all indicate that nothing is wrong......she does have a stressful job and is now also stressed from the constant pressure in her chest even tho medical professionals have consistently told her that there is nothing medically wrong.......could there be a problem that isn t typical? such as something with her lungs or tissues in the chest area

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

May she have GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). Ask her to get an endoscopy done. If there is any a hiatus hernia, then usually reflux will be there and severe gastritis.

So, she needs to be on gastric tablets for some time. Ask her to take Pantoprazole, Esomeprazole, or Rabeprazole drug which can be taken for 15 to 20 days before food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
