Radiologist 's  Response
prostate gland normally weigh upto 25 grams (25ml volume). there are certain causes of prostatomegaly, most common being Benign Prostate Hyperplasia. as prostate enlarges it can protrude in the base of urinary bladder sometimes causing pain and irritation. other symptoms of prostatomegaly are urinary retention and difficulty in starting urine.
you should consult a urologist, who will further guide you whether you should take medications or undergo a small surgical procedure.
