What Does Pus Cell In The Urine Test Report Indicate?

My one year old son had Grade IV VUR and is under treatment. He is on antibiotic coverage sine June 2011. we do urine routine test every month and culture test every third month. This time his urine report shows 2-3 Hpf pus cells and 1-2 epithelial test. so am worried a little.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your anxiety.
Having grade 4 VUR, you should know that it's essential to check urine culture.
Only the culture report can confirm an UTI.
The further treatment depends on this report.
2-3 pus cells isn't significant. Unless he gets fever or has difficulty urinating.
Ask him to drink about 3 glasses fluids daily.
