What Does 'pus Cells-3-5 And Protein-trace' In Urinalysis Suggest?
Hi I am 48, my Urine RME report as follows: Physical Examination, Color Yellow, Appearance Clear, Sp. gravity 1.020 Chemical Examination PH acidic, Protein Trace Suger Nagative. Microscopic Examination RBC 0, Pus cells 3-5, Ep. cells 1-2,Casts/LPF Not Foound, Cryst. & Amor. Debris/ LPF Not found
This urinalysis is normal. So don't worry. Traces of protein can be found in healthy persons if they do heavy exercises, or in some emotional stress. Also, depending of the kit used for the urinalysis 1-3 WBC (pus cells) or in other kits (3-5 WBC) are considered a normal amount to be found in a normal urine from a healthy person. So at this moment i don't think that there is anything wrong with you and your urinalysis. However if you have symptoms like -burning sensation while urinating, -the urge to urinate -pelvic discomfort etc,
My advice for you is to have plenty of fluids, possible 2-3 liters each day. -increase Vitamin C in your diet (oranges, lemons) -Cranberry Juice
