What Does Pus Cells 50 And Bacteria-few In Urinalysis Suggest?
Hi good morning. I just did a urinalysis and the results are this. Sp gravity 1.015, pH 6.0, pus 50, rbc 0-2, bacteria few, squamous many, mucous thread few, protein trace(+/-), amorphous urates few. Please can you tell me if it s just UTI. I m having an on-and-off mild right flank pain for months already and experience fever once.
Urine analysis findings suggests urinary tract infection(UTI). UTI is indicated due to presence of excessive pus cells, occasional RBC and few bacteria in urine. Few mucus threads and amorphous urates are normally found in urine.
You need proper clinical examination and routine investigations. Investigations include routine hemogram, random blood sugar, renal function test, ultrasound of abdomen, urine culture/sensitivity.
Proper antibiotics should be based upon culture and sensitivity report. Drink plenty of water.
