Hi,

If you are having a sensation of full bladder and urge to urinate, but little urine comes, this needs evaluation for ongoing inflammation or obstruction of urinary tract.

On other hand, you don't have such sensation and no frequent urge to urinate, this suggest inadequate fluid intake. This is especially likely if urine is concentrated or yellow coloured.

So if you do not have a sense of full bladder, and frequent urge to urinates, no need to worry- just increase fluid intake, otherwise kindly discuss with your doctor. It may take few hours after catheter removal for bladder to fill up.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
