What Does Scan Report Indicate?

polypoid mucosal thickening in bilateral maxillary sinuses and in the right sphenoid sinus air fluid level with admixture of air and fluid consistent with sinusitis. Noted is anterior cervical fusion C5-7. Otherwise negative specifically in the area of clinical interest left supraclavicular region negative examination. No evidence of mass or adenopathy.

Thanks for writing in.

The report findings suggest inflammation within the paranasal air sinuses and this can be causing you headache and running nose. Also mentioned is that there is joining of the cervical vertebrae (small bones in the neck) at level C 5 - C 7. This may be due to a surgical procedure that you have undergone earlier or due to a pre existing disease condition.
