Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

That's an excellent description, but it's still hard to tell without seeing. Chicken pox are usually described as a dewdrop on a rose petal. Hard white bumps are not to be worried about.

Red bumps sometimes are an early sign of impetgo - a superficial infection of the skin that goes away with antibiotic ointment but can be contagious. And of course, there are just the regular "who knows why bumps."

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Lisa Baker
