What Does Sore Throat Along With Fever And Cough Indicate?

Hi , I am rishab on 3 jan 2018 I have protected sex with sex worker in delhi , and when I come back to dehradun after that with in a week I get cold fever and sore throat , the fever is 99 and for that i have taken paracetamol , now it gone ..But I have cold and cough ..Not sever in control..And some times I have pain below my left jaw .. , some time headache, .. From 3 jan I am tensed that I have hiv...Plz help what I have to do

Hello,

Rule out EBV virus infection induced infectious mononucleosis by serological test like Paul bannel test and peripheral smear examination report. If it is negative, then chest x-ray and Auscultation can be done.

If you have protected sex as mentioned, then chances of HIV is less. Still for peace of mind, after six week of exposure investigate with HIV combo CMIA test. A symptomatic management can be done for your condition.
