Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
sir i could not remember the risk contact but it was on the first week of April 2016. I had a test HIV Ab I&II(ICT) METHOD : immunochromatography, sample : blood on 18.04.2016. result came up with negative. again I had another test of HIV TRI DOT , RESULT: non reactive on date 12.05.2016. Sir should I have to have another test ?
The HIV tests you had are all negative, this means they do not identify an HIV infection in you. On the other hand, 5% of patients may test negative if the test is done within 6 weeks of exposure and a repeat test in 3 months is recommended just to be completely sure.
I hope I have answered your query and have been helpful to you.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
