Report suggests degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine. Degenerative changes occurs in spine due to aging and development of weakness in annulus fibrosis.
1. There is disc desiccation (loss of water from disc)at all levels.
2.There is mild disc space height loss at all levels, moderate to severe at L3-L4 level with degenerative fatty endplate changes. Schmorl's node is herniation of disc into vertebral bodies.
Rest of the findings are normal.
It is important to know about nerve roots compression.
Majority of the cases of degenerative spine disease are benefited by physiotherapy,so physiotherapy should be tried first. Surgery should be the last option.
Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurologist.
