Pathologist and Microbiologist Dr. Shailja Puri's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The sputum culture shows presence of bacteria which are normal inhabitants of upper respiratory tract.
In addition, pus cells and epithelial cells are also present.
There is no evidence of acid fast bacilli or mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria.
Thus, tuberculosis infection is ruled out by sputum examination.
You can consult your physician with the report for treatment of upper respiratory tract infection if required.

Thanks and take care
