What Does The Following Transvaginal Result Suggest?

Hi Doctor! I just recently got my transvaginal result. I hope you can comment: Right Ovary: Within the right ovary is an elongated anechoic cystic structure measuring 4.4 x1.5cms There are numerous small foliates within the right ovary less than 1 cm in diameter. Left Ovary: Within the ovary are multiple scatted small follicles (more than 12) each measuring less than 1 cm in diameter, suggestive of polycystic ovary. Enveloping the left ovary is a tubulocystic structure with low level echoes measuring 3.61 x 1.24 cms. Doctor, should I be alarmed with the said result? Is this cancerous? Thank you for your advise in advance .

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

Well, it doesn't seem to be cancerous. Don't worry. Polycystic ovaries are so common these days. Get an MRI pelvis done for tubular cystic mass.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meena Jethani,
