Hello,
I can understand your concern for your GI symptoms.
1) It might be hemorrhoids. This develop as a result of slowing down of blood return in small blood vessels of lower part of
anal canal.
Constipation is most common cause for it and surgery is required for large hemorrhoids, bleeding associated with hemorrhoids, prolapsed hemorrhoids.
2) Bleeding from anal canal can also occur from
anal fissure, which is a linear tear on inner wall of lower part of anal canal due to excessive straining to pass hard stool in constipation. Treatment consist of medication for pain, medication to reduce inflammation,
anesthetic agent ointment for local application, stool softeners.
3) Since hemorrhoids and anal fissure share common cause, it is possible to have both condition simultaneously. In such cases medical treatment will be initiated to relieve symptoms. Once symptoms are controlled and hemorrhoid is large enough or have continuous episodes of bleeding then surgery is recommended.
Hope i answered your query. If you have any further question then I would be happy to help you.
Have a good day!
