I am an insulin dependent type 1 diabetic patient, I have been infected with pus cells severl times, then i take an antibiotic, and i make a check up examination every three months to detect any problems, this time i made an examination i found 20-25 pus cells, i made a culture then the result was as follows: a case of sterile pyuria for investigation? what does that mean
Sterile pyuria indicates that No active micro organism is detected. Blood sugar has to be controlled.Maintain proper hygiene. If you are married, treat partner even. control sugars.. Don't break your nerves on sterile pyuria.
Dear sir, hi! type 1 diabetes with sterile pyuria. sterile pyuria means bacterial infection is not there. but it can be fungal, it can be tubercular. so it needs KOH mount, fungal culture and bactac culture. you cannot take it easy. Must find out the cause for pus cells in urine. regards!
