What Does The Thyroid Ultrasound Show?

Exam: Thyroid ultrasound Clinical History: Goiter Findings: Transverse and longitudinal images of the thyroid gland were obtained. The right and the left lobe measured 6.8 x 2.5 x 2.7 cm and 6.1 x 2.1 x 2.7 cm respectively. The isthmus measured 5 mm in thickness. In the inferior pole right lobe, a 1.9 x 2.1 x 1.7 cm isoechoic solid nodule is noted.In the inferior pole left lobe, a 0.7 x 0.7 x 1.0 cm nodule with both cystic and solid components is also seen.Impression: Bilateral thyroid nodules as described.what does this mean and what are my treatment options and does this cause weight gain?

Good day.
You have provided a description of your ultrasound of thyroid. It shows that there are few nodules in your thyroid. As per the description, they do not sound dangerous. However, a needle test ( FNAC) is required to evaluate it further. This alone can not cause weight gain. What does your thyroid blood test show? If it shows hypothyroidism, that can cause some weight gain
