What Does The Tmt Test Result Indicate?

I am 59, male. and my TMT result shows a positive result for borderline inducible ischemia. my other parameters are normal and I am not diabetic. This status is maintained for the past two years.I am otherwise healthy with no significant complaint. Should I be bothered by this/ Do I need further investigation. Please advice

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

TMT positive for inducible ischemia means there is high chance of blockages in the arteries of the heart.Inducible ischemia means an inadequate supply of oxygen (via blood flow) to the heart muscle occurring with physical or emotional stress. It suggests that there is demand-supply mismatch at high demand levels for blood supply to the heart.
However, there are chances of false positive results.
You need clinical examination by a cardiologist.ECHO and angiography should be done.
Angiography will exactly assess the status of coronary arteries.

Hope I have answered your question.
Take Care
