What Does The Uterus Size Indicate In An Ultrasound Test?

Hi I am 29 years of age, I late or early menstral cycle,had an ultrasound done the results are as follows Anterverted uterus measures 9x4x6cm, Endo thickness 0.46cm, left ovary 19.1cm, right ovary 20.4cm, no fluid more than 20 follicles noted bilateral

Thanks for writing in.

The uterus is normal in appearance and size. The ovary measurements are not clear. I guess the ovary volumes have been given in your report and mentioned as 19.1 cc and 20.4 cc instead of cm as mentioned by you. If we take ovary volumes then the ovaries are enlarged in size. The description of more than 20 follicles in each ovary with increased volume may indicate polycystic ovarian syndrome. This must be discussed with your doctor and matched with your symptoms.
