What Does Thickening Of Bladder Wall In A Child Mean?

I took my 6-year-old daughter for a checkup, thinking it to be a bladder infection or a bacteria infection, but the results came back negative. I was then sent to have an ultrasound done on her lower abdomen, kidneys, etc. The doctor reported to me that she has a thickening of the bladder wall and is now referring us/her to a neurologist. I have no clue what is going on. What I thought was just a small check up has now turned into a headache. Please help. FYI my daugter hits her stomach... she says it (lower abdomen) itches and that is the only way to relieve it.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hello,

If there is a history that is rushing to the urinal when she gets the urge, then this could be a sample case of voiding dysfunction with thickening of the bladder wall. Please discuss this with her physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
