Hi I had an HIV test couple of weeks ago and the result came in this form: TEST NAME Hepatitis Markers HIV Antibody (AIDS Test) RESULT POS242.90 BIOLOGICAL REFERENCE NEGATIVE N.B.NR MEANS NEGATIVE REACT MEANS POSITIVE What this means? Please answer me .
An HIV result can either be reported negative (no HIV detected) or positive (HIV detected). The biological reference means the expected or normal response would be negative.
According the result above, the test result is positive. It would be best to discuss this result with your doctor. You should consider repeating it.
I hope this helps
