What Does This Abdominal Endoscopy Test Result Indicate?

I took my male friend to the VA to have his Endoscopy done..Dr talked to both of us showing the results..there were many white spot on the exray results of the endoscopy..he does have a enflamed stomach and had a biopsy taken also blood work too and was told to double up on the Prilosec to 80mg..and have the test retaken in two weeks..all this concerns me..what where the white spots and why the test again?? we are very good friends...I will be taking him again...

@ White spots are inflammed mucosa with flecks overlying
@ Biopsy from the lesion is taken to rule out underlying pathology in form
of H.Pylori infection , benign inflammation or some cancer cells etc .
@ Blood work is to have supportive data of systemic effects of infection /
inflammation .
@ Advised to double the dose of Proton pump inhibitor capsule to give
faster healing to the mucosa & combat the gastric acid altering the pH
balance .
@ Test again for endoscopy is recommended for evaluation the process of
healing inside the stomach linings .
